Putting Plans Into Action
![]() |
| Officers with the completed bags. Executive VP Elizabeth Larios, President Maryann Scroggins, VP of Service Deneise Cooley, & VP of Leadership Scott Owens |
As the semester is winding down, it's time to ensure that our HIA plans are implemented to help out RSC students in need.  That's why Friday afternoon found a gathering of officers in the main dining hall, assembling bags of donated foods.  The Raider Care Packages will be distributed to Rose students based on referrals from faculty and staff, and will provide at least one nutritious meal for up to 30 families.  We're glad to be able to help others, especially at a time of year when finances are often stretched even tighter than normal.
We've already received the first referrals, and anticipate many more in the coming days.  Keep an eye on D2L and Facebook for any additional ways to help with distribution.
During the assembly session yesterday, we also had a visitor from 15th Street News, so watch for some coverage of our project in the next edition.
Also, while placing the completed bags into the basement for safe storage until they can be delivered, we uncovered a treasure trove of past AHA chapter memories.  More to come in future posts on what we discovered.
